If you intend to participate in a studio session or mat class, your initial session will be your first session with us. This session will be a chance for us to get to know what your goals are, as well as to see where your strengths and weakness lie and to assess your posture. We may even get the opportunity to step through some of the principles of the Pilates method that will form the basis of your workouts. This session will be booked directly with us over the phone.
In our Studio sessions you will be doing Pilates exercises both on the mat and on our "Balanced Body" equipment. Your individual program will be based on the outcomes of your initial session and will evolve as time goes on. These sessions can be booked over the phone or via email. Studio classes have a maximum of four people. Also available are one on one Studio Sessions (Individual Studio).
Xtend Barre Classes
The Xtend Barre system sculpts the body proportionally so that all body parts are equally challenged. This total body workout serves to strengthen, lengthen, and stretch the body from top to bottom, from inside out. Developed from a dance / Pilates background, the Xtend Barre workout combines the amazing results of dance with the principles of strength and safety in Pilates. These sessions can be booked over the phone or via email.
Mat classes are group classes for up to 10 people and involve performing a series of Pilates mat exercises using foam rollers, "Ultra Fit Circles", therabands and your own body as resistance. We offer both open and intermediate classes. Note that these classes are not suitable for everyone but we would be happy to have a chat to work out if these are for you. These classes can be booked over the phone or via email.
New Group Classes: (Please note an Initial Session is not required)
A group Mat class specifically designed for young dancers, focusing on inner core as well as strength and conditioning for dance-specific training. Included is a theraband and booklet for home practice. It is our goal to arm young dancers with information to put into their dancing to help prevent injuries and make them stronger.
